Meghan Lavery received her BFA in Design in New York City, where she remained for a couple of decades. Meghan was raised in Maine and has recently relocated back to her home state, Maine. In the last two decades, she has worked in various fields, spanning from fashion design, decorating, styling, furniture design, and interior design. 

Meghan has her finger on the pulse on current happenings in design, and in many respects, can sense the pulse before others know what’s to come. She has an understanding of many design periods and can shape an interior into how it truly is supposed to feel. 


Avoiding flash-in-the-pan design trends, Meghan works within the parameters of a home’s existing architectural style and can make a home feel current, yet timeless. Her use of texture, height, negative space, and color will remain classic for decades to come. Meghan’s least favorite color to design with is grey. She likes to showcase and emphasize natural materials and textures in design. Working with a more sustainable approach using vintage and working with fewer chemicals and man-made materials.

Meghan is the Co-founder of Home Union NYC and founder of Home Union House Interior Design Studio.
